The green properties that your Oral Care need!

Aloe Vera and oral hygiene go hand by hand, as aloe vera has remarkable properties for teeth and gums' health. Gingivitis, periodontal disease, and diseases of the associated structures, i.e., interdental ligament and bone, alveolar bone, and tooth structure itself, all have a common etiology; plaque. Plague in the oral cavity is ubiquitous, and its control is critical not only to control inflammation but also maintenance of healthy gums and fresh breath.

Antibacterial and antifungal agents are the most distinctive qualities to combat oral problems, such as tartar, sores, and bad breath.

The chemistry of aloe vera gel has been investigated on and off for several decades. Aloe vera gel includes polysaccharides containing glucose, mannose, galactose, xylose, arabinose, tannins, steroids, organic acids, antibiotic principle(s), glucuronic acid, enzymes: oxidase, catalase, and amylase, trace sugars, calcium oxalate, a protein containing eighteen amino acids, "wound healing hormones", biogenic stimulators, saponins, vitamins, chloride, sulfate iron, calcium, copper, sodium, potassium, manganese, zinc, etc.

Aloe Vera in Oral care

It is commonly believed that the moisturizing emollient and healing properties of aloe vera gel are due to the polysaccharide present. The major polysaccharide present has been determined to be glucomannan. This glucomannan is a polysaccharide similar to guar and locust bean gums. Other polysaccharides containing galactose and uronic acids, as well as pentoses, are also present. It is believed that the gel's beneficial properties are not due to the polysaccharides alone, but rather from a synergistic effect of these compounds with other substances present in the gel. The pure Aloe Vera gel works as a natural medicine for the care of the mouth, teeth, and gums.
The Aloe Vera plant's pulp is useful to heal sores and canker sores, improve enamel and prevent cavities, and dries herpes and minimizes infections.

The Aloe Vera leaves contain amino acids and vitamins, which serve as a boost for the immune system to solve oral problems like ulcers and lichen planus and rashes or wounds inside the mouth.

Dentists have recognized the antibacterial activity of Aloe Vera when they found out that gingivalis strains, responsible for the majority of periodontal diseases, could not withstand Aloe.
The Aloe Vera's secret to taking care of hygiene and oral health is in the power of its cellular regeneration, which favors healing and recoveries of tissues thanks to mannose phosphate. Sores, canker sores, herpes, and lip sores (cracks in the corners of the mouth) are usually related to infection of a fungus or bacteria or a wound caused by rubbing or stress. The Aloe Vera juice can be applied directly over the damaged area to accelerate the recovery.
